Exclamation HELP! strange rpm problems

2002 civic ex coupe: I have a problem with my rpm gauge going up and down when I drive regularly...it also makes this clicking should behind the glove compartment too. It jerks my car and sometimes its so bad that it turns off the rpm gauge and cant really give it much gas...it usually happens when I park my car outside in the sun...but when I turn the AC to cool the inside the problem doesn’t happen... I've already tried changing the fuel pump relay but no change...I just don’t know what it is. Help me

clicking might be a bad relay. pull off the glove box and look around at those small black boxes. they might be sticking in the heat. if you try that and its still bad, might need to clean the idle air control system by taking off the throttle body and just cleaning off all the carbon, and doing the idle learn.
