Transmission Cooler Hose Size?

Transmission Cooler Hose Size?
Trying to find the correct size for the transmission cooler hoses on a 03 Civic, 1.7. (Fitting to aftermarket radiator) OE part schematic lists OE hose as 535mm?
Can't seem to find anything on web listing the correct size, other than somebody who said 3/8". Well, 3/8" don't fit right. Was able to squeeze a 3/8" piece on, but it is not correct size. Looks like 7/16" will be correct, but I'd prefer to use a transmission hose, not fuel line. Can't find transmission hose in 7/16".
Can only find supply line as OE part, I need to replace return line.
Can fuel line be used? Can I buy metric hoses?

Hose had a split, was leaking. Call it between a class 1 and class 2 leak.
Purchased two new OE Nichirin hoses from Honda dealer site. 👍
I'm also planning on adding an OE Honda transmission filter in line. Does it go on supply, (inlet), or return line?
