Does anyone have any experience with this manufacturer by the name of Fx racing clutch system? And doe you think the price for this kit is a good price. My 02 civic clutch is slipping, the mechanic said that my clutch is slipping I'm thinking of changing it. Look at the picture below.

Reason: More information
Ok, i heard good things about Exedy bran but the prices for the full kid with friction dis, pressure plate and flywheel are close to $300 on Amazon.im trying to fine something in the $180 $200 region. But exedy dont have anything of that price that with flywheel included.
If you're not running more than 140ft-lbs or planning on it (only spec I could find) just go exedy OEM. I thought it was a clutch Masters fx series clutch, but it's fx racing. No clue what that company is. Lol
If you're planning on running higher torque, ACT or exedy stage 1 wouldn't be bad. When I was running boost making 155whp (wastegate actuator stuck at 2.5psi), a stage 1 was overkill for me
Im not really into mods though I'm just a regular driver lol. But i just want something that wont give me any trouble in 2 3 years to come.just want a good brand or 2 to pic from. Exedy is my first brand but im not seeing any kit that include the flywheel..just friction disk and pressure plate ,most of them with the complete kit is high price.
You trust EBay to buy a clutch kit from them? I saw reasonably price for Exedy full kit in there.

As far as I've seen, if it's a reputable company (ACT, Exedy, clutchmasters, etc.), their clutch kits are pressure plate, bearings, and friction plate. Flywheel sold separately.
as far as the flywheel, you can get it resurfaced like brake rotors. I mean, it's kinda the same principle; using a friction device (brake pads/friction plate) against a rotating mass (brake rotor/flywheel) to make the two pieces come to the same speed.
and if you're worried about longevity.. Installed exedy OEM clutch in my 2002 civic when I had it all apart in like.. 2011-2012? That same clutch left with the car when she was donated in 2017 with no signs of slippage. I think I went through.. 3 clutches over 15 years? First was to swap from OEM to exedy stage 1 when I went boost. Second was when my sister had my car when I was deployed in 2009 and she and my stepdad put whatever budget clutch in. Then the aforementioned exedy OEM
When my step dad had my clutch replaced, I ended up with a lot of clutch chatter after a while. That's what prompted me to change the clutch. Resurfaced the flywheel at my go-to machine shop and that paired with the new clutch, zero issues. Worth a shot
You'd have to check the minimum thickness spec on the flywheel. I'm assuming it can, just like rotors, provided it is at least [x] thick. At this point it's out of the scope of my knowledge
Ok thanks very much..it so funny how i never had this issue with the clutch before i work on the transmission but as soon as i put it back together after working on it i started having this issue.hmm
everything installed correctly, right? Just trying to rule out user error
semi-serious note. lol.
Actual serious question though, when you took it apart, it was the existing clutch/flywheel and not a new replacement for either, right?
It was the transmission imput shaft bearing that was bad.it was making such a loud sound when in a particular gear so i took it apart and changed 4 bearings inside..everything was put back in the right order..i watched videos serveral times before i performed the task.
Yeah, ACT clutches spendy. I got my stage 1 clutch and streetlite flywheel used as a package way back in the day on these forums. Was like $300 for everything
I wonder the same bro.i call the dealership yesterday asking for price in the friction disk, pressure plate and flywheel and when i gave me the price for the flywheel and friction disk , i stopped him before he give me the price for the flywheel. Over $300.00 for the friction disk and pressure plate.
On the flip side, I've (presumably colin, too) haven't heard of stage 1 or 2 flywheels. Just clutches. Single mass and dual mass flywheels are a thing, and i'm 95% sure all flywheels for the 7thgen are single mass
