Transmission slipping when hot

Transmission slipping when hot

Have 2005 Honda Civic lx.when the car heats up the transmission starts to slip and the car won't pull.let the car cool off and it will drive untill car gets to running temp.any ideas out there what's wrong or have similar problem they fixed

If your lucky it’s a solenoid that’s failing when hot or your simply low on fluid and it begins to “froth” with air bubbles.

Either way there should be fault codes loaded and your MIL light should be on.

Have you had the car scanned for codes yet?

The easiest and first thing to do is check your transmission fluid.

Do you know if it has ever been change and if so when?
