Transmission won’t separate
Re: Transmission won’t separate
You must have missed a bolt or two.
Once all the mounts, starter, bottom brace , and like 8 big bolts are off, it will only be held on by two guide pins and possibly a rusted on clutch.

Re: Transmission won’t separate
Not sure if you saw them but there are two kind of hidden bolts under the thermostat housing block (...or whatever that thing is called).
Perhaps there is dirt/corrosion holding it together? You could try hitting it with liquid wrench and then tapping around the case with a rubber mallet.

Re: Transmission won’t separate
The dowel pins can get corroded and seize in their holes, necessitating the use of force (wedge, two prybars) to separate the trans from the engine
Re: Transmission won’t separate
I rotated and changed only the clutch release bearing and reinstalled the transmission.
Now the transmission won't pull. Any recommendations before I drop it again.
To the best of my knowledge the release bearing was installed correctly.
I did not break the slave cylinder line and it does actuate.
****Everything was working prior*** Just had a defective release bearing.

Axle not fully seated in trans?
You boogered an inner cv joint by trying to pull on the axle shaft instead of prying the cup out of the trans?

Re: Transmission won’t separate
I’m replacing the case gasket and I cannot get but about 3/4” gap between the two cases. Is there a truck to lining up intervals so the case will slide off? Thank you in advance for the help. I really appreciate it
