Help! Slipping out of gear?

Here the deal. 2001 manual lx. first time this happened was a week ago driving up a hill in third, all of a sudden the shifter pops into nuetral so i drop into 2nd for a little while, go back to third with no problems. then the same thing happened a couple days after that. last night i'm cruising down the highway in 5th and the same thing happens. shifter pops into nuetral the engine bounces off the rev limiter before i can take my foot off the gas. i go to 4th for a while. then back to 5th, everyhting seemed fine but as soon as i gave it gas it popped back into nuetral. so what the f**k is going on. i'm hoping maybe it's just a problem with the shifter and not the tranny. it shifts into all gears smoothly with no grinding. lemme know what ya'll think. thanks

well just take it to the dealer if it is under warranty, and they will fix it free.
