Minor fender bender disabled Honda Civic 2001 alarm receiver?

I was parked yesterday and someone in a Honda Odyssey backed into my vehicle and damaged the rear right bumper (when viewing the car from behind). I only knew because a tow truck driver was parked nearby who witnessed the whole thing and gave me the guy's license plate when I got back. I tried to disable my car's alarm with my key fob but it no longer works, so I had to open my car door with the key which caused the alarm to start blaring. I can drive but the alarm will keep blaring as I drive which isn't going to be the best when cops are around.

Is the key fob receiver for a Honda Civic LX 2001 located in the vicinity of the rear right bumper (when viewing the car from behind)? If so, is this something I can fix myself or is it going to cost me hundreds in repairs? I reported the incident to the police but they declined to take down a report due to the minor visible damage and then I reported it to Geico but I don't have collision protection.

The alarm is stock and my key fobs are stock from when the vehicle was originally purchased in 2001.

The alarm would be a dealer add on, not exactly stock. The module for the alarm will either be under the driver's side of the dash or behind the kick panel. If you disconnect the alarm the car may not start. You'll have to reconnect the wires that the car is interrupting.
