Alarm going off when sitting in unlocked car for too long
Alarm going off when sitting in unlocked car for too long
My 04 Civic LX's alarm will go off when I sit inside my car too long and try to open the door or if entering the car when it sits unlocked for too long. Idk why it's rearming the alarm when I don't lock the car or arm it myself. It is the factory alarm on the car. Is there a way to remedy this or is some "feature" i don't know about is active? I would like for my alarm to only activate when I lock the doors.

Sounds like it might be aftermarket and programmed that way. Look under the steering column and dash for a control module so you can get a PN.
