Need Help with 2002 honda civic
Hello all, I need help identifying some parts? I am looking for an aftermarket keyless entry system that I had installed when I bought the car back in 03. I have checked under the driver kick panel, but did not see anything. Under the passengers kick panel I found this long black cover? Is it ok to remove this and see if the unit is underneath?

https://i.imgur.com/WaRhuymh.jpg Follow the non-factory wires in this pic. The 3(?) wires (yellow, green, black) that have been taped together. The usual place to find an aftermarket accessory is stuffed up in the drivers side of the dash, anywhere there was room to hide it. Follow those wires and you will find it. The first pic of a black thing with 4 wires is the power transistor for the blower fan. Nope, not what you want.

Would this be the unit? There are no cables going out from this...well except for a small skinny black cable next to that big Molex (looks like a PC Molex connector anyways) connector, it seems to be going up into the dashboard?

Yes that is an aftermarket unit, looks like a keyless or an alarm. Not sure why you wanted to locate it, but you found it. It looks like the back of the box has the wire designations stamped into it if you want to go chasing individual wire connections.
