D17A1 cam plug - 2004 Civic

Now that I've solved my fuel rail issue, I tackled the cam cap leaking issue. Every video shows it to be a quick job. Of course, I'm the outlier. No amount of effort would pop the plug out; in fact, I destroyed the face of it trying. I eventually had to remove the rocker rail to expose that end, and I find a completely different type of plug. It appears to be pn 12513-P30-000, rather than the 12513-P72-003. Does anyone else have this plug type in their 7th gen?

To follow up on this, I ended up replacing this with the plug-in type that was supposed to be there, 12513-P72-003. No idea why the other one was there, but it's all buttoned up and not leaking.

Thank you for the Intel... it's exactly what my mechanic suspected. I appreciate your quick response to my original message.
