Need help with choosing right engine oil [solved]
Hi, I'm from Sri Lanka and recently purchased a 2004 Honda Civic ES5. However, the previous owner replaced the engine with an ES1 VTEC D15 and the gearbox with a CVT. It's time for a service, but I'm unsure about the appropriate engine oil. The mileage is at 213,288 km, and I don't know what oil type or brand the previous owner used. Mechanics here seem to lack specific knowledge on this matter, often opting for budget oils without considering other factors. Given our hot climate, which ranges between 25°C and 34°C throughout the year, I'd appreciate your guidance on the best engine oil for my vehicle.
