D17a2 head fails valve leak test [solved]

I recently just seated the new

valves and wanted to do a leak test with it sitting for an hour or so. When I came back every single valve leaked water into the manifolds. I don’t know what I did wrong and any help is appreciated. This is also my very first time doing this kind of thing.

Did you lap the valves?
you can't just drop them in the head

re: D17a2 head fails valve leak test [solved]

After taking off the valve springs and inspecting the seating for both the valves and head I in fact didn’t lap them well enough but thanks for the help
