Motor Mount Hole Stripped?

I have an 04 civic coupe 1.7l 5spd manual. I had a new transmission put in and I think they broke my front lower motor mount. I go to replace it and I find that the top right (smaller 14MM bolt) will not thread into the engine. This bolt is pretty dinged up with bent threads and the area without threads is heavily corroded. I am not sure if the bolt is the problem or not, but even with the mount off I was unable to get the bolt to thread in. Is this bolt necessary? The automatic variant of this motor mount only has the two 17MM bolts which tightened up just fine for me. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Are there good threads deeper in the hole? Running without that bolt isn't going to cause the engine to fall out. I could see some rattling.

I don't think so on that one. I tried to run it in with the air ratchet and it just spun indefinitely.

Re: Motor Mount Hole Stripped?

Is there a place I can look up the pitch of the hole? I found the OEM part number for the bolt (90165-S5A-000), which is an M10x70mm. The bolt that was in there is M10x60mm 1.25mm pitch, which tells me it is not original. I bought both a M10x60mm replacement and a M10x70mm replacement both with a 1.25mm pitch. Neither bolt will catch other than the first thread. I wonder if its a 1.50mm pitch instead. How would one find out?

Re: Motor Mount Hole Stripped?

I ended up purchasing a M10-1.5-70MM to try and it fit. It wont hit the torque spec but it is tight enough that I think it will provide support, loctite helps.
