2004 Honda Civic DX-G(Canada) Oil leak

Hello,

Recently I’ve noticed a loss of oil. I check the oil once a month and the level’s has dropped below minimum and have had to top it off. It doesn’t seem to lose oil fast.

Took this picture behind the engine from the driver’s side. My first assumption is the leak is coming from the oil pan gasket as I have no other signs of leakage from anywhere else on the engine from what I can see. I do not have a jack to be able to confirm any other leaks from the bottom.

Only thing throwing me off is there is no oil residue on the pavement where I park.

I had owned a 1997 honda CRV before that had an oil pan gasket leak which left stains under it.

Just wanted to know other people’s thoughts.

Oil pan, maybe rear main. Could also just be residue from 19 years of oil changes. You're probably burning a bit. The cat is eating most of the smoke.
