Manual tranny with Auto motor. help
I have a 05 civic lx special edition. It is manual. I got a new motor cuz old one blew, but it had different wiring harness. i couldnt reuse the old wiring harness because it didn't have a plug for a sensor. then the transmission part of the harness had too many plugs to nonexistent plugs on tranny. Do i take top half of motor off of block?
Re: Manual tranny with Auto motor. help
You should use your original harness. Could be missing a plug for the VTEC solenoid and possibly the EGR solenoid. You can leave the VTEC solenoid unplugged and have no side affects (since the ECU isn't expecting VTEC anyways). If the new engine has EGR but the stock did not you can just swap parts between them.

[QUOTE=BrotatoChip;4796710] thank you I will take off the cooling part where it takes it in from the radiator and swap it from the two motors. And put the older harness on it
