I money shifted from 3rd to 2nd going 110kmh. Engine is misfiring.
A few days ago I was on the highway doing a pull and I money shifted pretty bad. My rpms went all the way to 8500 and my engine immediately shut off.. at first I thought I threw a rod but I pulled off to the side of the road and my engine started again. It hesitated, but it started. I limped it back home to find that I have 2 piston misfires. I have good spark and my coils are in good condition with brand new ngk plugs... I checked my oil and it’s not muddy and there is no coolant in it, I still have full coolant in my rad.... I don’t know what to look for next please help

Which 7th gen do you have? Just to double check that it is in fact the one with the timing belt.
8500 on the D17's is really bad.

it's rubber belt reinforced. Sudden jolts can make any rubber belt skip. Not Honda, not Civic related. Car in general related.
you are asking the wrong question - can these engine change RPM so suddenly? Would be proper question...
Normally if no problems, they should not skip.
That was not a normal operation.
now, up and check the timing first. Arguing after that.

Stop driving the car and check the timing before you damage any more parts. You might get lucky and not have any bent valves, but it's not likely
