so i am having a bad read on my fuel gauge and i am assuming its the fuel pressure regulator is this how it look right?
the trouble is that the needle doesn't show the exact reading when is start up but after awhile on the on the road its started to show the full reading so im thinking its a pressure issue. my pump is new and my filter as well there is no signs of fuel leaking either.
The fuel pressure regulator does not affect the fuel level gauge whatsoever. On the fuel pump assembly there is a float that controls a variable resistor. The higher the fuel level the lower the resistance is. The cluster reads this resistance and moves the needle accordingly. It could be an issue with either the cluster or the fuel sending unit.
