So I decided I will be saving up to do a complete rebuild under the hood of my 2004 Honda Civic EX (US). I know my way around the engine, and I know how to use a wrench. What I need is part recommendations. Does anyone know of a GOOD rebuild kit for this moter? I don't really want any major performance upgrades on the engine itself so any GOOD stock rebuild kit would be fine. I just want the best quality rebuild kit I can get without killing my wallet.

With upgrades in mind, I do plan on getting an aftermarket intake to make it look a bit cleaner under the hood. What intakes should I look at?

I also will be replacing the clutch when doing all of this. What are some good clutch kits to look into? I don't want any racing kits. Just a slightly better then OEM. Something that grabs a little harder but not so much that it just launches into gear. I know this is kind of specific, but i'm not sure what kind of clutch to get as I have not worked with many different clutches so i'm not sure what kind I like. Based off my description of what I want in the feeling, does anyone know of a good Clutch Kit that matches?

-rod bearings (probably leave main bearings unless play)
-rings (probably leave wrist pins)
-water pump/timing belt kit
-front/rear seals

-axle seals

Generic aftermarket parts brand
-valve seals
-liquid gasket

ARP
-head studs (for stock you can probably reuse you studs if you want)
