D17A2 engine is on the stand, I'm doing the head gasket and everything is going fine. Head is back on, cam and rockers installed, putting on timing belt - and I notice this part sitting on the floor below the motor. I have no idea what it is and where it came from. Anyone know? its about the size of a kidney bean - It has some wear marks on it and is nicely machined. If I had to guess I would say it came off the rocker arm assembly, since the wear marks look like it rotates. No holes or any features, just a solid cylinder. Oil pan is off, so maybe it came form the under side? Thanks for your help!
