No o-ring on PS fluid supply line??
No o-ring on PS fluid supply line??
Hello everyone!
I have been having a problem with a noisy power steering pump no today I flushed the system and replaced the o-ring on the line from the reservoir. The weird thing is, I couldn't find the old o-ring. I looked for about 20 minutes inside the pump, around the area in the engine, and on the ground.
It is possible that the last guy just didn't put an o-ring in? My car had been driving fine without any noise for about a year. Would it last that long without the o-ring there? I stuck my finger in the pump to make sure the seal hadn't gone up in there, but didn't feel anything. Is there any chance the seal is deep in the pump where I can't reach it?
Pretty sure that the seal just fell off, but I want to be sure the seal isn't still floating around in the pump...
Thanks for the help!
