Re: Black oil and missing oil
about two o-rings in the hard lines with coolant leaks
leaking the block in the car what do I need to do to get the oil pan out? So I can access the bottom of the pistons to unbolt. In a few pics I’ve seen there looks to be something over the piston rods. Maybe something oil related. Does that remove or do I work around that to unbolt the pistons
The thing inside in the way might be called something like the main bearing bridge or girdle or saddle or web... It doesn't really have to be removed unless you are taking the crankshaft out, and you can't do that unless you pull the transmission out.
There should be enough room to work the rod cap fasteners out, just rotate the crank a bit side to side to gain access to them one at a time.
Just about any shop will do a pressure test for free or next to free hoping to get the repair.
Did anyone lift the carpet in front and feel if the padding is wet?

I don’t smell anything sweet so I don’t think the heater core is the problem. I’m starting this Wednesday night. Where do you guys suggest ordering the rings from. I see tons of brands on eBay. Average price like $40. And I’m just gonna rent a pressure tester from AutoZone and check the radiator my self.
Parts list should be
-oil pan gasket
-head gasket kit w intake mani kit
-valve cover gasket kit
-oil
-filter
-coolant
-rings
-spark plugs
anything I’m missing

I'd want to know exactly why it's losing coolant BEFORE taking anything apart.
It's gonna suck donkey ***** if you take it apart and don't accidentally fix the coolant loss problem.

Re: Black oil and missing oil
Head gasket kit damn well better have a valve cover gasket set included.
If piecing gaskets together, I'd want a head gasket from Honda. Too many ppl in this forum reported premature failure with Felpro.
Those O rings you mentioned aren't in your list
Hondabond or Permatex Ultra Gray RTV
Wanna reseal the oil pump while the pan is down and timing belt is off? One more O ring is all you need, plus RTV.
Front crank seal (oil pump front seal)
