2005 Honda Civic Hybrid - P0135 code

Hi

I will appreciate if anyone can help me in this.

From yesterday my MIL light came one and when I took car to advanced auto part they told me its code P0135.

AS far as I know Honda Civic 2005 Hybrid have 3 oxygen sensors but code P0135 is for primary / Secondary or third one ?

If its primary oxygen sensors – Can I change it myself, is it easy or I had to take it to DEALER?

Is it safe to drive car till its fixed ?

Why I am asking –Because Secondary or third oxygen sensors are covered in below warranty.

11-043 is the current software update for the cat. Sensors

11-044 is the warranty extension for the secondary and third heated oxygen sensors. Warranty is extended to 8 years from the original date of purchase or 80,000 miles whichever comes first. If you already paid for a replacement on one of these parts, Honda should be able to get you the proper reimbursement papers you need to send in.

I will appreciate anyone reply.

You can google the code definition. http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/

Heater circuit malfunction, B1S1.
It is sensor #1, the upstream sensor. (Closest to the engine of the three sensors.)
99% are just a bad sensor.

No bulletins for this one.
No software update for this one.
No, it is not warranty.

Use NTK or DENSO brand sensor, or dealer parts.
The cars are quite finicky about sensors like this.

Hi I'm having the same issue on my 2005 Honda civic IMA. Where is the bank 1 sensor 1 located?

It's the one poking out of the top of the exhaust manifold. It may not be in this exact area (since this is the 1.7 gas) but it'll be in this general area.
