I just purchased a 2004 Civic EX coupe manual a week ago. I found a lot of posts about the door locks not working, but nothing about intermittent issues. After I shut all doors on the car, sometimes when I press the lock/unlock they work, most of the time they don't. Sometimes I have to press the unlock button on the remote several times before it will unlock the passenger door(coupe) and it seems to never unlock the drivers door. Yet, I can walk out the next day and it will lock and unlock both doors using remote with no issues. I'm stumped. New engine battery, new remote battery..... Yeah, hopefully I can find an answer. Thanks

Check the door wiring, if it's good the actuators may be getting weak

The actuators are definitely good. They work great from the switch, just nothing using the remote. I'll pull that boot back and see what the dealio is. Thanks

pull the driver's door harness, that way you'll be able to see what's going on, don't think you'll see much just pulling the boot
