2005 Gauge Circuit Board LED Replacement

Hi, I am a member of an Classic Olds forum and have found it to be very helpful when I have had problems. Anyhow, my Grandson just got his first car, a 2005 Civic 2 door LX, automatic. We have some dash lights out (ie: Check Engine Light). So, we went to YouTube and saw how to take the dash cluster out. No problem getting it out. When we turned the cluster over, to replace the bulb, there were no spaces place to insert a bulb (like what was shown on YouTube). We removed the white back to find a circuit board, but no place to insert the bulbs. We then removed the front clear cover and removed the all indicators thinking we could remove the circuit board and replace the LEDs. However, the speedometer indicator wouldn't come off. We didn't get too aggressive in trying to get the indicator off, stopped working on the cluster, reinstalled and began looking for a "How To" to replace the LEDs on the circuit board. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. We don't want to break anything.
