Sorry for cross posting a similar question here, and in the 2000 Civic section, but:
I'm getting bad information, or no information, all over the web on this. It's the darned 3 bulb dome light inside the car, that turns on when the door is opened, or you press the overhead switches.
I was told on one site ( Autozone? ) that it was a DE3175, then bought a 4 pack of 3000k 400 lumen LED bulbs on Amazon and just wasted $11 because they're not even the correct configuration of bulbs. The 3 that are in there are single ended. ( I didn't look first and just bought what they told me! )
I JUST need the DE number, please, for the correct bulbs, then I can hunt for 3000k and the maximum lumens in a LED one.

So what is it in inches then? This isn't difficult.
It's probably a 168 or a 194 bulb. One is brighter than the other
Why did you remove my thread about the *2000* civic dome light bulb number, and accuse me of posting duplicate threads, when it was about a DIFFERENT model of car?

Isn't this an objective answer? Like somewhere, Honda has a specific bulb number that gets used in the 2002 Civic EX? I don't understand why I have to be measuring bulbs.
I just need an objective number. I'm not interested in replacing the halogen with halogen. I need the p/n so I can find a LED that fits the socket.
( And yes, I'm tweaked off about my other deleted thread. )
194/168/921 all use the same T10 bulb base. 192 being the smallest/least brightness. 168 most common size for map lights/non festoon-base dome lights/parking lights, 921 common for reverse lights. All literally use the same wedge socket.
Easy way to find bulb sizes is to go to sylvania's automotive bulb guide and finding bulb sizes. Then go to Amazon or similar and finding led bulbs that'll work. Alternatively, theretrofitsource com allows you to filter by vehicle in their LED bulb section.
Now everyone play nice. Final warning for everyone.
Edit: p.s. basically all civics use the same. Exact. Bulb. For map/dome lights. Exception being festoon based bulbs. My 2002 used 195/168 bulbs in the map lights and a festoon base (34mm, I think I don't remember) for the rear. I think 7thgen sedans used 194/168s. My 2018 uses 194/168s as well. Literally brought over bulbs from my 2002 and put them in my 2018.

That didn't work.

Didn't work that way in this case. They SAY that the 2000 Civic LX is supposed to use DE3175 in the dome light. So I bought these:
But the halogen bulb in there is 1" long and these LED ones ( DE3175 ) are 1.25" long - too long for the clips in the dome light.
THEN in the 2002 Civic EX ( Vtec ), I don't KNOW if this is called a dome light ( photo ) or "map light", but it sure doesn't use DE3175's. So I'll go look at those numbers you mentioned above now. Thanks!

Sorry, I skimmed and read what seemed like the exact same thread, didn't notice that one different number. The 2000 will use the 168 bulb as well
I had bulbs like those in my sidemarkers. "Burned out" within a few months. Been rocking these in my map lights, and holy crap, they're bright. higher color temp than I initially wanted, but their brightness overcomes the cons associated with 5000k map lights. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/t1...led-bulbs.html
