04 Honda civic hybrid, IMA system is working but I keep having to reset it. Is it a s
SubscribeHey all. I have an 04 with 375k on it. I was having IMA issues beginning last year. Replaced the 12v under the hood and then probs went away. Then came the starting problem. Would start fine, but then every 7th or 8th time, it would puke and then click. So I replaced the wiring harness on the 12v with an oem harness and then it went away for a few days then started again. I found out that if I popped the hood and lightly hit the fuse box, the car would start fine. So recently, I replaced the entire fuse box assembly and the problem has somewhat subsided, but the IMA system is still dying. Sometimes it's on with the motor, charging/discharging/assisting as usual and then other times, it's not operational and I have to reboot it by killing the car via the ignition when it's driving down the road and then turn it back on. Usually, this works, but it doesn't fix the issue of it turning off.
I haven't found a lot on how the hybrid sensor system works, but a friend suggested that either the battery is overheating or a sensor is busted.
wanted to see if anyone on here had some experience.

I would not waste any more money on wild guesses.
Please list all fault codes for engine, transmission, IMA motor, and IMA battery systems. I'm sure most of your issues will be addressed by those fault codes.
If you (or your local parts store) can't access ALL of the systems to get codes, take your money to someone who has the necessary equipment and experience and can solve problems on purpose.
