I went to the dealership yesterday to have some maintenance items taken care of, the maintenance minder was showing codes B,1,7. I've got a 2018 EX-T sedan with just under 35k miles. When I showed up for my appointment, the tech told me I should have my CVT fluid changed as well because it is due every 30,000 miles. The maintenance minder has never shown the code to do this and I can't find anything in the manual that says to do it at any set interval, nor have I found anything online to backup what the tech was saying. Does anyone have any knowledge about this? Should it be done every 30k or just when the maintenance minder alerts you?

I appreciate any input, I'm trying to figure out if this guy was just trying to sell me extra services or if I really need to have this done soon.

I don't think he tricked you... 30k is a good interval. And, you got the proper Honda fluid also. Drive on !!
