2020 civic si buzzing noise at 3k rpm that comes and goes!
Hows the community guys?
So recently I’ve been having an issue with my dealership...... Yea big surprise! I know! But anyways Back in March of 2020, I had purchased a new 2020 civic si from balise Honda. When I drove the car I fell in love with it so I bit the bullet and financed it. Fast forward a few months later in about October of 2020 I started getting this weird buzzing noise at 3k-4.5k rpms. Took it to the dealership and what a surprise! They can’t duplicate the issue! That made me open up a claim with Honda Corp. After that I took it back to them a few more times (for the same issue) to be told they cannot duplicate the issue there is no problem. If that was the case, I wouldn’t experience this noise! NowI’m posting a video of my car duplicating the noise and then I will post a video of me turning my car off and trying to duplicate the noise and it completely disappears! Any help from you guys would be lovely. (I took these video back to back. I got out the store to start my car and the noise was there. Recorded the video for evidence and proof. I shut the car off to then turn it back on and see if it would replicate again, and it disappears!)

I’m sorry man I’m new to the forums. I only made the account because I’m dealing with this issue and it looks like this is a good community to ask questions. I tried uploading the videos from my phone, but upon uploading them they don’t show. Is there anything I’m doing wrong? Sorry for the duplicate post as I thought it might of got more attention in general discussion rather transmission.

any info would be greatly appreciated!
thanks in advance
I’m sorry for the noises lmfao this sound is actually driving me crazy due to the delearship telling me they cannot duplicate it when I’ve already shown them proof. I don’t know what to do at this point, if anyone could point me in a few directions on how to get this situated it’d be a great help.

The amount of time you slipped the clutch while at 3k+ rpm hurt me
I honestly have no idea what to guess. It doesn't even really sound like it's proportional to the engine speed. Your best bet may be trying to replicate the noise the best you can so you can show the dealer. You could try taking it to a different dealer as well.

i will be honest, other than that hiccup sound in both videos, I can't tell what "buzzing" you are referring to.
might be me old ears not capturing the sound...

At about 6 seconds into the first video you start to hear the buzzing noise at 3k rpms ( sounds like a circada bug IMO) and in the second video, upon revving to 3k rpms there’s no buzz throughout the whole video.
