2017 civic transmission oil change question
2017 civic transmission oil change question
Hello, I have a 2017 civic and did a transmission oil change myself and followed the steps to a T.
The question is when I got towards the end I took off the check valve nut and the oil was give a steady drip, I put back the nut. Then I started vehicle for about ten minutes went through the gears turned it off then took off the check valve nut again and only a couple drop came out maybe 3 or 5 dips then nothing. Does it need to constantly dip ? Did I not fill it enough or just right ? Thanks

Re: 2017 civic transmission oil change question
Probably a bleed out check plug. On the bottom of some transmission there is a drain plug and a level check plug. When the fluid is at the right level the check plug will drip fluid.
