2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
I recently purchasted a 2020 civic si new from atlantic honda bayshore. I took the car for a test drive and made the salesman aware that the clutch did not feel right it was delayed when i released pedal. He blamed it on the turbo. We purchased the car being assured it had a 5 year 60000 mile drivetrain warranty no worries. The car was now 8 weeks old with 2500 miles. While trying to get on the parkway the clutch slipped almost causing a collision then engaged on shoulder almost causing another collision. This occured on november 27th. On novemember 29th i took the car to atlantic honda and met with chris marino (service manager). Before the vehicle was even in mr marinos sight he immediatly accused me of misusing/abusing the vehicle and stated honda would most likely not honor the warranty. I asked him several times to take a test drive with me and he refused to. I told him to drive the car a certain way to see what was actually happening. At this time he didnt even know what color my car was but countinued to emphasize how this was abuse and misuse of the vehicle and it most likely would not be covered. They then took the car out and came back just to reiterate that it would not be covered and the failure was due to abuse/misuse and not knowing how to drive. While they were out i noticed another civic si on the lift with the transmission out of it i then asked what it was in for and they answered a blown clutch it had 3900 miles on it he stated that the car on the lift was also abused and would not be covered. I then asked chris if it were posssible that nobody knows how to drive or does honda have a problem with their drivetrain. He stated he sees it all the time has done at least 10 of them and none were covered they were all driver issues. I then said chris what is the comman denominator the car or drivers that diont know how to drive i got no response. I asked to meet with the honda rep. He said to come in on december 5th and the rep would be there all day. I met with the rep on dec 5th. Ruby bloduc along with opening a complaint with honda america. I explained the problem with both my car and chris and showed her the other car still apart on the lift. She said she would do whatever she could to resolve the issue however the next step would be to break down the car and ordered chris to bring the car in and start immediately. My car sat out in the parking lot until monday dec 9th. On dec 9th chris told me the clutch, flywhell, pressure plate and throwout bearing would need to be replaced and that he would reach out for ruby again for assistance and he would not get the parts until wednesday or thursday and woud get back to me. I left several voice mails, texts and finally an email telling him not to put car together until i could meet with ruby. He finally responded back on thursday saying that i released him to do repair on monday and the car was being assembled. I released him on monday to order the parts nothing else he did not respond to any of my attempts to reach him until it was too late. I spoke with the general manager rob kiernan i explained my situation to him he said it happens all the time they had a car with same issue before me and 3 more waiting. Is it possible that nobody knows how to drive and everybody is abusing there honda civic. Before they took my car apart i researched honda si clutch slipping on the internet and there are many owners having the same issue one didn’t make it 10 miles from the dealer and the clutch completely failed having to be towed back to the dealer. I also emailed rick alessi the old general manager new ceo nothing. Prior to the dealer taking my car apart i asked about a part called the cdv (clutch delay valve) this valve causes the clutch to slip and without even checking it they stated they never malfuntion. I asked them prior to taking my brand new car apart to change it at my expense chris refused to do it. There is a problem with this car and both honda and their dealerships know it and are covering it up. They refuse to honer their 5 year 60000 powertrain warranty. I had to pay to get my car back. My biggest concern is and it certainly should be hondas as well is do we wait until someone gets seriously injured or killed. I had two outside parties look at the parts and they all agreed this should have never happened. This is totally unacceptable remember the car is 8 weeks old and has 2500 miles on it with a major powertrain failure that they refuse to cover!!!!! Please contact me if you can help me to get hondas attention before its too late and someone gets hurt. Do yourself a favor buy a toyota

re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
In case anyone is still watching this thread…
If you had your 2020 or 2021 Civic clutch replaced while the rest of the drivetrain was still under warranty, you should go back and talk to your dealer.
Honda issued a technical service bulletin on 9/5/2022 that applies to ALL 2020 and 2021 manual transmission Civics, wherein the clutch/flywheel/etc are now covered under the drivetrain warranty because of a production issue.
We have a 2020 Civic Sport, around 24k miles on it. Started to feel the clutch slipping in July, so we took it to our dealer. He confirmed that the clutch was bad, that it’s not covered under warranty because it’s a wear item, and that we might want to drive it for a while until it gets worse. I asked how a clutch with 24k could already fail, and of course he said it must be how we’re driving. My 1997 Civic DX had 160,000 miles on the original clutch, but uh, sure.
It started feeling a lot worse a few weeks ago, so I booked an appointment at my friend’s shop, because I’d much rather give him the business.
He looked at it on 9/12 and confirmed it was bad. He was going to get the parts on 9/13. On Tuesday morning, when he went into whichever system he uses (the same one he had been in the day before), the TSB popped up.
He called me back, told me about it, and then called my dealer to see if they were aware of it. They hadn’t seen it yet, but it came up in their system and they told him to have us call and make an appointment. Then he put my car back together, because he was just about to receive the parts and get working on it.
Called the dealer, set up the appointment, went out to my friend’s place to get the car and drove it to Honda. Had a new clutch by the next afternoon, no charge.
This isn’t a recall, so I can’t imagine that anyone who had previously had this fixed while the rest of the drivetrain was under warranty would have any way of finding out about it. But they should reimburse you if you go back to them and ask about it.

Hello my name is Martin and I own a 2020 Honda Civic si. My clutch went out 4months into buying the car. The service manager asked if I had got on a speedway or keep my foot on the clutch which i DONT do either. They do not want to put it under warranty because the clutch is a wear and tear item. I do not know what to do, seeing you had the same issue is letting me know that I’m not the only one with this issue. I’m thinking of starting a class action lawsuit because I have to come out of pocket

i have a 2019 HONDA civic SI coupe same issue
told me the same thing. I ended up towing the car home. It’s been almost 5months since it’s been parked. Many other have put on the web that they have had issue with clutch but don’t post the result of them being covered by honda. Any updates on you’re situation?

My daughter just bought a 2020 Civic SI (8/10/2020). I drove it home from the dealership and noticed a burnt metallic smell (and yes I know how to drive stick... I've had 2 cars that were manual). Didn't think much of it at the time. My daughter doesn't know how to drive stick and after a few sessions she had it down. She only drove the side streets for a day or two until she figured she was ready for the freeway. Entering the freeway shifting from 3rd to 4th the clutch went out (8/12/2020). This happened with 96 miles on the car!!!! The burnt metallic smell was super intense! I know my kid is learning and yeah she's stalled it a few times, etc. but nothing abusive or anything like that. It was towed to the dealership and Honda refused to pay it due to misusing/abusing. However the dealer stepped in and covered the cost (Ken Garff Honda of Orem of Utah). I picked the car up yesterday and drove it home again. I still get the same burnt metallic smell. I'll be contacting the dealer about this for documentation purposes as it seems there is something seriously wrong with this car.

re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
Just going to say that a lot of people don't know what they don't know. This pertains to many facets of life including the use of the clutch pedal. I remember my mother driving her accord for the first time. She was slipping the clutch with the car around 3000 rpms for every single start. I told her to knock it off, that car could idle it out quite smoothly at 700 with no risk of stalling. This was after years of her driving manual trans cars. She thought that was the correct method of pulling out from a stop. She drove that car for about 5 years and put more than 120k on it, it never got the clutch replaced and was still drivable when rust caused it to be scrapped at 350k miles.
Something to consider is the fact that it is a manual transmission "performance" car. There is no way to tell who has driven it and what they did to the clutch. If you think the clutch was already trashed at time of delivery you should have been on the phone with the dealer the same day and had the car at the service department the very next day.
My background is having owned a few manual trans cars (honda and other) of various ages and driven many cars that belonged to others. Personally I don't care for the current Si clutch pedal, it is way too soft IMO and feels like a electric switch more than a pedal. My current daily is a 20 year old 5 speed MT honda.

re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
I purchased a 2020 civic si sedan less than a month ago. 1050 miles later and my clutch burned out. I've driven manual transmission vehicles for 16 years and have never had this issue before 100k miles. Supposedly, warranties do not cover clutch replacement, but what about manufacturing errors? The car can provide the info that I'm not a speed demon. I average 32 mpg for the few weeks I drove. Will I have to cover $3000 in repairs for every 1000 miles I drive? F.TC. Help!

re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
I recently bought a 2020 civic sport manual transmission. I have had it four months and the clutch burnt. Took it to the dealership and the same thing was said to me, its drivers abuse. My first car was also manual. I have experience driving a manual car. They said that I would have to pay for it. It's ridiculous. I am currently calling honda and complaining, obviously its a common issue among the civics and the clutch. They need to be held responsible.
re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
I am from Toronto and I purchased (financed) a Honda Civic Si 2020. The delivery date was July 30. A week ago, I was driving down the highway and as I slowed down and switch to a lower gear, it started revving and wouldn't accelerate at all. I got it towed to the Honda Downtown dealership and after a $1400 teardown, they told me the clutch was worn out, it was my fault, and they are not able to approve it under warranty. It will cost $2600 plus tax to replace it, and they will waive the teardown fee.
I was surprised and angry because I was a loyal Honda customer, and my first new car was a Honda Civic LX from them, manual transmission. I LEARNED how to drive clutch on that car so I'm sure that clutch took some abuse. Some component of the car had to be replaced under warranty after about a year and a half because when I put it in reverse, it was slipping and not engaging properly. I don't think they had to replace the clutch though. The fact is that that clutch lasted for over 3.5 years before I got into an accident and then I purchased the upgraded Si version. Now, 3 months later, the clutch is gone on a brand new Civic Si that cost $10k more than the base model? I know how I drove that car, I never rode the clutch and I was careful with my gear switching at all times because by then I was an experienced stick shift driver.
I should also mention when the sales guy Joe Wong was selling me this car, he misrepresented several things to me, including about giving me “free window tints and a free warranty” when in fact it was rolled into the overall cost of the car, just not readily apparent because I was financing it, and there was also “Customer Vehicle Protection” fee on there for $500 (CVP fee) that I had point out before he would remove it. So I already had a bad taste in my mouth dealing with these guys. It’s sad because I had a great experience with them buying my first car from Alan Shepherd but he apparently left the dealership.
I am currently trying to appeal the decision with Honda Canada because the service manager at Honda Downtown Mario Perella is refusing to replace it under warranty and due to the pandemic, I am barely working and I really do not have an extra $2200 (he offered to drop $400) lying around for a car that I just bought.
Is it possible there is a manufacturer's defect with this clutch that some people are experiencing?

re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
Including your experience I have heard of bad clutches now maybe three times. There must be something wrong with them for that to happen. Maybe you all just got bad parts?
re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
Update: after about two weeks of back and forth with the dealership and Honda Canada, the appraiser from Honda Canada finally called me and told me they would cover 50% of the cost of the repair ($1049.19 plus HST at 13%). But they said they were only doing it as a gesture of "goodwill" and it was nothing to do with my warranty coverage and refused to admit any fault. They kept saying what the dealership service manager was saying, which is that if the clutch is burned, it must be my fault, and there is no other proof they need. I asked to see manufacturer's reports and documents and they acted as if I was crazy for even asking for that. They said it was "proprietary information" apparently, which I don't buy at all. They also tried to wave off the many accounts online about their issues with this clutch on the SI as being from Americans, and I'm in Toronto, Canada, so these cases are unrelated. I mean, even if the cars are made and assembled in Canada, I'm sure they share parts and materials and designs with their counterparts in the US and other plants internationally.
Anyway I think I will still pursue a claim with CAMVAP after this because it just doesn't make sense to me, and I don't see how I can avoid this happening again if it is due to my 'bad' driving, since I wasn't doing anything wrong and don4't see what I could be doing differently.
If you are Canadian and you are experiencing issues with your clutch on your Civic Si please PM me and maybe we can get a class action going. I am a criminal lawyer but I can probably find a good consumer protection lawyer for us if there are enough of us.

one year late. TODAY I turn 4th months of obtaining my Honda Civic SI Coupe. Same as you, abused or misuse. My car is 2026 miles! One month without using it because I was sick due to covid. The manager from Imperial Valley Honda recklessly told me i was racing that car assuming that is rare for a "girl" to use manual transmission cars.
They say that the warranty wont cover. Hope you can read this cause looks im filing a lemon law case anytime soon.

I bought my 2020 Civic SI in late October and at 4900 miles my clutch is slipping badly. I am the first owner, and I drive it lightly as it only has a very small amount of miles on it. I don't know what I should do because my dealer when I purchased the car said the clutch isn't under warranty as it is a wear and tear item. but on the other hand, they say my warranty is void if I do any work to the car, so if I change the clutch out for a stage 2 or something, then it voids my warranty.
re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
Clutch just went out on my 2020 civic si 2 weeks ago and read this thread. Wanted to give you all my story. Clutch went out right as i hit 10k miles. Dealership said misuse and abuse. But i had been having clutch locking and not allowing me me to shift into first at times started around 3k miles. Kept driving as normal and one day while driving on the freeway i was downshifting from 6th to 5th but was unable to shift. I couldnt even shift to any other gears. Had to throw it into neutral and coast to the shoulder of the freeway. Sent the car to dealership and they check the transmission and clutch and send me pics of the clutch. I asked if i could come in and look at it and they denied me and said no becauze of covid. Tried calling american honda and speak to someone higher up but nope. There is no one higher than a case manager. Anyways i had to pay 4k to replace my clutch. Even after they replaced my clutch the car smells like metal is burning anytime after i drive it. Was upset at the issue but realized life could be worse lol still dont think i was at fault and misuse and abuse of the clutch. Wondering what the outcomes of everyone elses cars were?
re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
I have a 2020 Civic SI and the clutch burned up at 9000 miles. No warning, just starting slipping on the freeway at 75 mph and then was done. There was no more power to the tires and after revving it not knowing what was happening at first the clutch got hot. Also there was a semi barreling down behind us flashing it lights.
I did not race or abuse this vehicle and others with the 2020 Civic SI are having their clutches fail prematurely and Honda is making us pay. This is criminal at best. Not sure I want to put another OEM clutch in this because I don't know where the issue is. Shitty clutch, not installed correctly at the factory, etc.
Honda has to be aware of this issue and are covering it up. Hopefully if enough of us contact the attorney general maybe they will make Honda pay up. The dealer wants 2900$ and I know a shop who said their cost would be $2000 but still this is a brand new vehicle and clutches should not be failing at 9000 miles even if people can't drive stick. This is not my first manual transmission car so they clearly have an issue.
The dealer and Honda are not covering this under warranty because since the clutch got hot I must have abused the vehicle. Someone told me to contact the attorney general, if you guys haven't yet do that so they have these reports.

Everyone who messaged me after regarding their issues with their Si clutches -- can you please email me at nadia@ngdefence.com? I am a criminal lawyer and I am currently involved in a CAMVAP claim that just got approved for eligibility. If you are interested in testifying at my arbitration hearing or at least signing written affidavits of your experiences, where you live, which dealership you bought your car from please email me at nadia@ngdefence,com ASAP so I can get your story down and hopefully help you pursue claims at CAMPVAP too. I am primarily looking for Canadians in Ontario, but am willing to take the stories of anyone in North America, as I'm sure their manufacturers don't use parts that are all that different.
re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
Hey Guys, I had my clutch start slipping yesterday out of nowhere. I have a 2020 si sedan with 9,300 miles on it and I am not afraid to admit this is my first manual car but I learned on a 2015 wrx before + had experienced drivers in the car with me the first few days until I got thier blessing. I immediately took it to the dealership and they warned me that I could get screwed over because it was a wear and tear part. Luckily I spoke to the mechanic while I was grabbing a carseat out of the back and he said "You didnt hear this from me but if they deny the fix($2,600) then what you need to do is ask for a honda rep, you wont speak to them that day but a case number will be opened and From there you make your case". Apparently they went ahead and spoke to the rep without me and were able to determine that I was not driving the car hard based on the breaks, tire tread, and possible the cars computer. I guess I found the only honest dealership but even if they tried to screw me I am friends with the owners son but that card is only meant to be pulled in real emergencies.
My advice would be to make sure you dont leave the dealership unless they give you a lowner and if they try to blame it on you fight it out but in the meantime you have a car. It does suck driving automatic again though

re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
Update:
So after my first repair which was conducted by Honda Downtown in Toronto, Canada, when they replaced the flywheel, clutch plate, and pressure plate, and gave me a 50% "goodwill" deduction only after I harassed Honda Canada for weeks over it and after the dealership was threatening to charge me storage fees for the car because it was taking Honda Canada so long to authorize the discount.... I think I finally picked up the car sometime late Nov-early Dec 2020.
Two and a half months and another 8000km later in February 2021, my clutch started burning out like crazy while I was driving on the highway for no reason at all. I noticed the RPMs were up very high regardless of what gear I was in, and suddenly the car started filling up with that burning clutch smell. I took it off the highway and long story short, I got it worked on by an independent shop near my house this time in hopes that this mechanic would be able to tell me something more about why my car was acting up this way.
The repair cost me $1400 this time, and he only replaced the clutch plate, pressure plate, and bearings. I don't know if the mechanic is just not knowledgeable enough about what the possible problem might be, but his only explanation was that the torque on the Si was more powerful than the Civic LX I drove for 3.5 years (where I had 0 problems with the clutch burning) and I should ease off the clutch more slowly when starting the car from stop. This was all stuff I was already doing, and even then, I don't see how all these little things could contribute to such a sudden and heavy burn out of my clutch.
I'm basically at a loss of how to prove the defect in this car but I'm convinced it's a lemon because of how soon it happened right after it was repaired. Honda is just going to keep blaming my "bad driving skills", but I know how I drive, and I know that if it was me wearing the clutch out slowly due to errors shifting, I would be smelling clutch burning long before the whole clutch just fails.
Currently I'm still in binding arbitration with them through CAMVAP (Canada's alternative to lemon laws) over the first repair, and I have to make another claim for the second repair. The burden is on me to prove that there's a manufacturer's defect in this car, which is difficult considering cars are not my area of expertise, and I don't really know which mechanic to approach who would know enough about this car to find out why such sudden and catastrophic burning out of the clutch keeps happening.
A bunch of you emailed me from the US - I am going to send a group email to you right after this so you can exchange info and perhaps find a lawyer in the States willing to work on a claim for you. I am also hoping to collect enough info from each of you so I can draft your affidavits and commission them remotely so I can use them for my own arbitration hearing. So please watch out for that email if you have emailed me.
All I can hope for is to try to find an expert who can try to identify a specific problem contributing to the premature wearing out of the clutch to testify on my behalf at my hearings, or enough people to speak out about it that Honda actually does their own investigation, OR some kind of class action lawsuit arises so Honda would be forced to disclose what it knows.
Anyway I think I'm just going to try to sell this car now because it is not worth the headache of having to deal with this same issue every 7-8000 km.
If you have bought a recent Civic Si and have had premature clutch wear problems, please PM me

Is it okay if i ask what dealership you went to? And if you had a claim number i could reference? I actually called Honda Reps twice and they both denied the claim without even listening to my argument of the clutch issue.
re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
I didnt have to make the claim because they made it for me apparently. The dealership is main line honda. At the least you should get a discount on labor/parts I would like to think.
re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
Hello All,
I know this thread is about the 2020 models, but I have a 2019 Civic SI coup and have recently had issues with my clutch, seemingly out of nowhere. I bought the car brand new in March of 2019, it only had 13 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. I know how to drive stick, I don't ride the clutch, and I don't hotrod the car around. The car has 34,000 miles on it that are mostly highway because I live 20 miles from the nearest city, it is regularly maintenanced at the same dealership it was purchased from and has never been overdue for service. The last time it was in for maintenance was in March of 2021 and I was told that it was still in perfect condition. On April 1, 2021 just a week ago, as I was on the main freeway in the city going to run errands, I noticed a burning smell coming from the vehicle and an almost immediate loss of acceleration. I exited the freeway and not more than 10 minutes later the clutch failed completely and the car would not move. I had the car towed back to the dealership and I was told the same story as all of you who still have a warranty, that the clutch is not covered because it's considered a wear and tear part. Interestingly enough, the next day I was informed that Honda would cover the cost 100%. Why would they do that for a part that is not covered by the warranty in the first place? To me it seems that they are aware that there is a collective issue with the 2019 and 2020 clutch and are bracing for a recall. This is speculation on my part but after going through forums and seeing this is happening on a regular basis to these specific year make and models, it doesn't seem like a far off idea. Also worth mentioning, I have a friend with the exact same vehicle as mine down to the color, and when he purchased his slightly used 2019 Civic SI he noticed some slippage when shifting and still has the issue from time to time. His car is not under any warranty though, so he plans to replace the clutch himself with an aftermarket clutch before the current one fails on him. Presently my car is still at the dealership being worked on. I'm hoping to have it back in the next day or two.

Reading all of you, makes me anxious and sad. I dont wanna pay 265 per month on a car that is gonna give me trouble every 5-10k miles. Have you guys had any success taking this into court ?
If not im gonna sell this car (which is sad because I gave a really big downpayment for a car that is not worth it) and buy a used one. First and last time dealing with honda, I was a VW :\

re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
Right here buddy, from Durham region outside of Toronto and only have 17,500km on my car and clutch is slipping a bit in 3rd and badly in 4th. I work at a Honda dealership and am going to be asking some questions myself as my car just started doing this last week. Seriously dissapointing coming from Honda as they've always Been a stand up company!
Honda Cares! What a joke. My 2020 civic si has less than 9,000 miles. The clutch burned out while my son was driving it. The Thousand Oaks Honda dealership accused my son of street racing! I had gotten my 17 year old son to drop it off at the dealership to have it fixed because I was with my husband who was in the ICU for over a month deathly ill. The dealership blamed my son and said the only way it could happen is if he was revving the engine and shifting at high RPM. They want $3006 to fix it. They said it was not covered by the warranty or the extended warranty we purchased. I said okay just fix it and I'll pay $3006 because I couldn't deal with it because I was at the hospital with my deathly ill husband!!!! Then the dealership tore it apart, accused my son of street racing, and then said they couldn't get a new fly wheel the part that was damaged for 3 months!!!!!! Apparently HONDA has a fly wheel shortage!!! Then they wanted me to pay $1500 to have it put back together. I guess so I could pay them another $1500 to tear it apart again in 3 months! I got home from the hospital and called them. They accused my son of abusing the car! The problem is, I often drive this car and I have been driving a stick since 1978. I don't street race and I'm a great shifter! Also, My son does not street race! He has not had the opportunity to street race even if he wanted to! He has been home on lockdown due to COVID because his father has been so sick almost the entire time we have had this car!!!!! The kid has literally been in his room for a year! It's only been driven to the supermarket, target, and other local errands. I called Honda America and they don't care. They gave me a case number and told me someone would call me in 3-5 business days. I just want to sell this car and never deal with HONDA ever again. HONDA DOES NOT CARE!!!! It's just a stupid marketing ploy. I also, don't like the way they treated me or my son and my husband is too ill to deal with it.
re: 2020 Civic SI Clutch Component Failure [Honda noow taking warranty]
So similar to what I have been going through. Honda has been twisting my words accusing me of abusing the car and racing. They have been mean and nasty from the start. They have had my car for 2 weeks and are totally nasty when I ask them when the repair will be done (for $3006 that I agreed to pay for). I found my copy of the extended Honda Care warranty which says the clutch is covered and that I would get a loaner car. But Honda accuses me of abusing the car and therefor it is not covered. I called Honda America customer service and they were so condescending. The third person I talked to said i was saying lies and nonsense. They say they will call the dealer and then don't return my call. The guy at Honda America said I was accusing them of withholding my car from me?!?! All I said was when are you going was fix my car! They say the part is on backorder until June because of COVID. Please post your experience on twitter at #hondacivicsiclutchfailure I posted all of this on twitter @Honda @Hondacustomerservice

Oh and I also filed a report with the National Highway Traffic safety Administration. www.NHTSA.gov
The clutch went out at 8025miles while getting on the highway from 2nd to 3rd. ( I don't race or abuse the car so it was a complete surprise to me) The engine revved and I could never get up to speed. I am worried there will be an accident from these defective flywheels so I thought it was important to report it. They are doing an investigation so please report it

No success with Honda. They have been nasty on every level. So I'll need to do without that car for a few months. I am selling mine as soon as it's fixed.
