Edmonton Domestic Rice & Young Punks

Is it me or are cavalier/sunfire drivers getting worse? And whats up with them getting riced up? It's okay as long as it's in good taste but there is a lot of bad taste in edmonton! I am starting to despise domestic drivers! That and young punks! On saturday night, I ran into 4 different cars that wanted to race, one was a sunfire gt with 3 guys in it, one was a cavalier coupe with 5 girls in it, one was an older honda accord and the last one was a newer prelude. I can't be bothered wasting my time on racing but these drivers were persistant. The sunfire, well lets just say I missed my second shift but was able to pass him at 120Kmh(on the highway so I was not excessively speeding only 10kmh). I guess 3 guys weighed the car down a lot, I expected not to catch up so soon to him but it was an easy kill. The cavalier was a joke, I had 2-3 cars on them in second at 60kmh, waste of my time! I didn't even bother with the accord. The prelude did a fly-by trying to get me to follow, I didn't even entertain the notion of racing him so he was annoyed and he took off. Just think the summer is still young and well, there are a lot of punks out there already. I think I'm going to have to avoid cruising at night time now just to avoid all these punks.

Thanks for listening in on my rant.

punks... most of these ricers are young punks with bad taste... thinking their car is all that. Theres nothing worse than a guy with a sh*t car trying to race you, not worth the speeding ticket..

story: my friends dad owns a 99'viper.. they (him and his dad) were stopped at a red light on 109st and the 90-93 (somewhere around there) Mustang w/ no mods beside them starts to rev up his engine... well you know the rest from there... Gaaay! who the hell tries to race a viper???

for not racing, Blown

Racing is pointless.... With all the bad drivers around, the road is dangerous enough

at the viper story.

I'd race a viper if I have a porsche or Diablo (but not on street)

I agree racing is pointless. I used to in my stock civic but once I invested some money on it, I instantly grew out of it.

If I had a 911 Turbo, well, I would have a hard time keeping my licsense!

Yeah I know...to many racers out there...I like to race once in awhile....but most of the ppl I do it with are the 2k1er's that's it...I don't have the time..nor the insurance funds to afford another ticket on my record.....BTW...yesterday...I picked up my G-Ma...and she is like 73...and this POS like old Susuki like hatchback 4 door straight out of the 80's starts to rev up and passes me and then slows...and passes...Like wtf....dude...you got your gurl with you...but still what you got in your pants is prob. bigger than what you got under the hood...like wtf....And NO I will not race...my G-Ma is old enough...I don't very well need her dieing on me..cuz I hit 120km/h in 3rd...like ahhhh....I really hate raceing....that is why I am going for show..not go...

lol@papawheelie.

A) your an idiot.
B) a Z24 or a Sunfire GT can waste us. I can vouch for that, but a regular Sunfire or Cavalier, hell no. They have less HP, more torque, a much bigger motor, and cost about half as much (I've seen em at 12k brand new).

1) You have no life, over 2000 posts. Great work!!!
2) Horsepower sells a car but torque wins a race!!
3) Pretty good investment if a car half the price as a civic can beat you!!
4) See note 1.

Back to the original post about domestic punks...etc, etc....

I do agree, there are some bad taste out there in E-town, mind you it is not only domestic drivers that have bad taste, there are a few imports that have bad taste as well.

As to the newbie trying to start a flame war, I would not worry about him/her. I think he/she is trying to attract some attention to themselves, know what I mean ??

s'up no0b? I can roast 2.2 litre j-bodies in my DX AUTO civic. I suggest you race Nitehawk in a stock 2.2 cavalier/sunfire, and we'll see who's clutching their bum-hole afterward. THEN you can come here and flame away. Until then you are officially a troll.

....actually even if you did win the race you'd still be a troll, but...umm....we'd recognize that God sometimes helps those who cant help themselves.

guys don't worry about stupid punks like that. their idea of fast cars is good old american torque. this guys form of racing is pressing down the gas pedal and listening to garth brooks.

if he doesn't show respect to the imports then who cares.
japanese engineering is far superior to american engineering
and 2.2 american engine = 140 hp
2.2 japanese engine over 180hp

let that punk drive his POS and why is this guy on this site anyways if he's dissing the 7thgen civics???

actually, their base model cavalier/sunfire is a 2.2 liter 115 HP engine......
their 2.4 liter engine (Z24/GT) is 150.
and their LS model is 2.2 liters pushing 140 hp....very mild improvement.
bwahahahahahaha....

I think Papawheelie smokes monkey pull

I guess he never raced a Z24 or a sunfire GT, they may have more torque mind you but have you actually raced one? They require 3 shifts to get to 100kmh, also, they're a lot heavier. Also, how many of the domestic drivers actually know how to drive?

I think my car requires three shifts to get to 100kph also, but it's damn close, the Si/EX has closer gearing due to a different final drive ratio. But I've raced a Z24 once and it absolutely raped me?!? pulled like 3-4 Cars in 2nd.

something serious must have happened if a z24 was able to pull away so fast

I require 1 shift to get to a 100kmh. After I hit 100, I shift up.

Am I the only one who has beat both a sunfire GT and a cavalier Z24 and gave a dodge neon R/T a good run for his money?

My bad, About the three shifts thing. haha, I meant two, 1-2, 2-3, but i can hit like 95 or so, maybe even 100 if i push it. Now that I think about it maybe he was spraying or something. 1st gear, even, 2nd gear. he pulled 3-4 cars on me, 3rd gear even, 4th gear, even. But the three shifts to 100kph for the Cavy, that has to be wrong blown. he was in 2nd till at least 80kph when i raced.

Dude, we're only flaming you because you're f*cking impolite. If you didn't come here to be friendly, go away. Something you dont realize is that these opinions we share on domestics are simply that...opinions. If you cant deal with that, f*ck off because you're below average intelligence and not worth my/our time. I thought people with your type of attitude drove pick-up trucks....
