go to beam riders or boomplus toys or something...
my fren spent around 1100 for
deck/ amp/ 2 10"
if you dont' care too much about high end, and jus want an ok start system...then jus get those packages from visions or a&b or something...
but if you want nice custom fiberglass, neon tubes..etc go to those other places [as above..]

personally i dont care about sound.

I personally LOVE music so I think a system is an essential part of my car.
I was lookin' into gettin' a system too, so this thread is for ME too!
Mind u, in a Cabrio, there isn't much trunk space for subs!

ummm ALPINE is very good with car audio...same with PIONEER.....
as for looks sony and panosonic looks good but doesn't shell out the quality that Alpine and Pioneer or Blaupunkt has.
quality yet expensive......
good alpine deck.. somewhere in ~600
good pioneer deck.. somewhere in ~500

polk audio is good for subs...for decks u can get bout any type...but if its the common name ones
sony, panasonic..u have to spend a good 300+ [new one] for decent sound..not those cheap intro decks for 199 on sale...

the new sony decks get to use memory sticks too~
