rear bumper repainted?

okay so im going to assume this happened in a parking lot... i have a huge series of scratches accross my rear bumper... don't know when they got there or how they got there either. All i know is that it LOOKS like someone was thinking they 'were barely making the turn' when in reality their front bumper was drawing lines in my paint.

SO anyways just wondering if anyone has had honda repaint their rear bumper and how much that cost... I was thinking of taking it to a detailer and see what they could do for it, maybe trying touch up paint, or even just polishing over (though i doubt that'd work)... but ya obviously the best bet is a repaint but im willing to bet thats way out of my pricerange.

thx in advance for ur answers

damn thats a hell of a lot of money, at least for an unemployed person like me... I wonder how much could be 'repaired' by just polishing and buffing, and perhaps some touch up paint on the bad spots

just talked to ICBC about it - this sucks.

So if it was caused by a vehicle - it'll come under my 'collision' which has a $500 deductable on it
If it was caused by vandals - it'll come under my comprehensive, which is only $100 deductable.

this sucks cake. it was pretty obviously caused by a car... not by a stick or a key or something... so it'd sooo likely be found to be 'collision'. i hate people that hit and run.

i'd just suggest getting it painted and avoid paying your deductible you can probably get it painted very decently, or even completely properly fixed, filled etc etc for around or maybe just under the deductible
