Careful when decking, our c/r is already a high 9.9:1, and piston to valve clearence is crucial. Make sure your cam timing is at 0 otherwise you will do some major damage. What other mods you have?

none, so far. I'm gettin into the mods in april, when i have more money. maybe i'll just stick to port and polish for now, then possibly go the turbo route.

Yo Nitehawk, do some research man!
Get all the boltons before you P+P, you probably wont even notice the HP, but once you have I/H/E, pullies, Fuel controller, all that stuff, then its time for internal mods.

yea, i'm doin it all at once.

when i fix my car, it's also getting I/H/E, maybe Pullies (dunno if i even want em), then i want to port n polish, maybe do some bottom end work, and finally turbo, followed by ECU

As a programmer, I'd advice against doing everything at once... Harder to pinpoint problems ("bugs") if you have any.

Good luck anyway, NitehawkVTEC!

yes that makes sense. with lots of things. Hardware troubleshooting too, I'm a certified PC Technician myself. I'll probably learn to program eventually, but not yet. Same goes for car stereo's and a lot fo things. I'll do my engine work slowly. hehe.
