Rep Power: 0 HID HELP HID HELP:Q
Hello....ok well I have done the search and what not....but I want to know more about ppl for CANADA WEST....I know that some of you have HID but can I get all your info....Cuz I have been having a lot of trouble getting it....1st the money sux....cuz they are really expensive....I have been to the Acura dealer and asked to buy them and they shot me down hard....them:"we don't sell them blah blah blah....to many problems could happen" me:"well I will customize it" them:"NO"me:I even asked if there is a junk yard that may have messed up TL's and CL's.....but again "NO" Like what gives....I have money to pay for it....but I don't want to go and get some $1500 US system from the states and have it mess up and me have to deal with sending it back or them saying "F*CK OFF...COME TO CALIFORINA AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT" Sooo all in all....where did you get your HID...if you have it....did you customize the H4 fit.... how did you do it.....ohhh yeah...how much did you have to fork out.....and are they anything close to Acura or BMW HID.....?????
Thanx for all your help...to whom ever replies

Rep Power: 0 I installed HID in mine..but still need some adjusting.. aim it a little bit lower...
but for the second stage i'll do something like this I spend around 550 USD for mine... but the light is good.... blueish hue during warm up.. and bright white.. just like TL/CL's
for stage 2..... you'll have no other choice than to go around the junk yard and find some housing that fits for your car...
hope this helps..

Rep Power: 0 i get them from GarageSPL down in seattle.... installed right there hehehh to avoid customs..
you have to wire everything... there's a booklet diagram included with the package..
the only thing that makes it fit for H4 is just the shielding.. but the shielding is not as good as PIAA's HID.. it's just like the other H4 HID's shield
hope this helps

Rep Power: 0 I'm not sure if its the ignitors but the part that hooks up to the bulb...will the OEM weather seal fit over ignitor connection?? So everything fits properly but the shielding?? What is the shielding??? Is it the base of the bulb?? And I will be going to London in the summer I wonder if I will be able to pick up an HID kit there??

Rep Power: 0 everything fits nicely, shielding is the part to block the bulb from giving out the high beam .... when you look at normal H4 bulb... there's a little metal pieces inside the bulb... that's the shield that prevents high beam, so whenever you want to use high beam, the other filament (the one without the shield) is being used.
this is the same with hid bulbs, but the shield is much bigger, and longer.... to prevent the lights from bouncing off to the bottom of the reflector thus creating the high beam.
you can try to get the group buy kit and ship it to somebody else's house down in the states... and install it there..
but don't forget to aim it slightly downwards compared to stock halogens.. coz this thing is super bright...
i was seeing spots for a few minutes(almost 10) after looking directly at the bulb hehehhe..

Rep Power: 0 well some guy did a testing on bi-xenon for civic.... and it doesn't turn out that good..
the shield that suppose to be movable was stuck in the high beam position whenever he turn from low -> high -> low ..... i would recommend getting a projector of somekind... and use the normal bulb for your high beam.

Rep Power: 0 << $750 is more than i'm willing to pay for HID....i'll stick to my $125 PIAA's....lol.....
$750, thats like 50% of a set of good rims.... >>
Well if you want the real thing you gotta pay the price.....You can have a used BMW kit from e-bay for $800USD....and have to modify it, you can go to honda and get a TL setup for $1500, and modify it, or you can have the Philips kit for $750 with no problems......nobody said being the biggest badd *** on the block was easy!!!!!.......Bring out your $125 PIAA bulbs and put them against my HID and we will see who wasted their money......besides the $25 toucan Eurolites light up better than the PIAA bulbs.....and regular High Power H4 bulbs for $20 light up better than any blue light ever will
And $750 is really only the cost of one good rim...if you want light weight race quality wheels....and U still gotta buy tires!!!!!!!!!!!
