still deciding on a ride... no progress
ah ok... so here's whats up w/ my vroom vroom status... cuz i started wondering why i'm here.. haha
okie... civic was never considered.... heavily leaning towards the EL... P5 is being doubted... but somehow an Altima and a Jetta came into the picture...
for a while there, a COROLLA... was in the picture... i cant even begin to express my feelings on that one..
hahaha...
maybe i should start lookin at real car prices instead of rental car prices, eh waveface?

also check out the matrix...might be a lil pricy...i was in the same boat as you before...
i checked out the echo (:laugh and it drives nicely but super butt ugly (the ones over in asia are hatchback types and they look great), i also checked out the celica...outta my price range....corolla, sentra...i was about to do a test drive on a sentra but the freakin dealership was closed super early...then i just walked 10 more meters and decided on the civic coz of the price (lx was cheaper than the top model echo..haha) and looks..
get the civic if i were you, not only it is reliable (will be in your possession for years and years) but also cheaper than other cars out there

have you looked at the new sentra spec V... its nice sporty and FAST...
if u have the $$ to buy a Jetta? DON'T... you should get a Type R!!
they're like selling for 26-29$$ at Acura dealerships.. they're like 98' and i think 99' with low kms.. (like 10-15)
TYPE R ALL THE WAY!!!

well i obviously ended up deciding on the civic
after all of my research it came down to corolla vs. civic. One sit in the corolla had me worried I wasn't going to be comfortable in the civic either. Went over to honda, sat in the civic, decided a civic is it.
I'm >6ft tall so headroom and legroom is very important to me.
I also realllly wanted a Toyota Rav4, but the top-of-the-line model was waay far out of my pricerange
Oh and if you have $$$ for a jetta (as i read in one of the replies)... go for a v6 accord!
thats just my opinion anyways. You're really not going to get anything but a biased opinion here yanno

when i went to the toyota dealearship and asked the price of the echo (top model) the guy told me around 19+gs and then i went to the honda dealership...took a test drive and asked for the price...the guy told me around 18+gs...i went back to the toyota dealearship and asked why the price of the civic is cheaper with more options...the guy said the echo shouldn't be compared to the civic, it should be compared to the corolla...then i asked him how much, he said 22+gs...so it just didn't make any sense to me that i was asking for prices and the guy just wanted to sell me something more expensive and thats when i lost faith in him and what he knows...
my advice it...write down the cars you like or they like and test drive them all...you'll have fun choosing which car you're gonna get...

Jetta is GOOD.
I originally wanted to get a Jetta 1.8T Loaded, but that will cost me 30k+...and there's a long wait list when i wanna get it too...
so...I got the EL...which is cheaper.....and have no wait list.....
My GF drove a Jetta 2.0 GL, the handling is really good and the corners are great....the steering wheel is a bit heavy.....but that's becoz i'm comparing it to my jap car....euro cars are always a little heavier....
But honestly, if u have extra cash to spend, a Jetta is a Euro car, overall better then a jap car....VW offers good warrenty as well...can't remember what's it...check it in their website...
