2016 civic fasten passenger seat belt warning

Hello. Every time my passenger in the front seat leaves the car the fasten passenger seat belt warning comes up after a minute or two as if he were still there. I have to pull over and stop the car and then restart it again and then it is ok. Is this a problem for any one else? It's a 2016 Civic 22000 km. I don't want to take it to the dealer unless it's under warranty. I have had no major issues with the car. Thanks for your help.

Take it by a dealer... and see what they have to say>>>

Honda provides a lifetime warranty on seat belts. Honda will repair or replace any seat belt component that fails to function properly during normal use. ..
