I have a 2020 Civic EX - the backup camera has no beeps as I get close to my driveway stone wall. Does the backup camera not do any beep-beep thing when you get really close to scratching the pretty paint? Someone in my family isn't very good at this kind of stuff.

Is this an option that the EX doesn't have? I've looked through the user guide and it is vague regarding this. Maybe it's only in the Tourer trim or something? Is there some setting I'm missing?

Fairly certain parking sensors weren't available in the 10th gen Civic ('16-'21), especially not the EX trim. It looks like they're available in the 11th gen Civic ('22+) but only on the Touring trim.

there are some ultrasound aftermarket ones, but you need to open a hole in bumpers.

Thank you both for the replies. I've become quite sure we don't have it on the EX we just purchased. I'm becoming more impressed with the car as we get used to it, but this feature would be helpful to myself and the wife. Oh well, at least awareness of not having it will just require getting used to. I've noticed the straight and dotted lines give a few extra inches before any unfortunate accident.

I never installed them, so don't know how much work or how they would look after install...
