Custom intercooler [solved]
Custom intercooler [solved]
Hey all new to the group. Looking for a Honda technician who can answer a question. So I installed a plm intercooler. About 20 miles into the drive, the ktuner and car threw a code p2101 lost all throttle response every light on dash lit up and the car started making noise idling crazy. Noticed the charge pipe to throttle popped off. Put it back on and it did the same thing. Now, I disconnected the battery and waited then reconnected battery and started car the code cleared then the car started. Could upgrading the intercooler do this? Please help.

I don't think the IC is the cause of the issue. Did you install just the IC or charge piping, too?
Big picture, that P2101 means there's too great an error between actual and commanded throttle position. Not sure if there's something lodged in the throttle (e.g. packaging that was left in the IC found its way to the throttle body), or if, for some reason, the TPS sensor connector (or the throttle body itself) got damaged in such a way to cause that error. Personally, I'd take off the charge piping and do some visual inspections of the throttle body and any connected sensors. Prolly go as far as cleaning sensor terminal contacts, just to be sure. You'll be in there anyways, and if it fixes the issue, it's a cheap (or free if you have electrical components cleaners on hand)

Def do some emergent exploratory surgery. You don't want whatever foreign object to get sucked in to the engine.
re: Custom intercooler [solved]
So I found a rubber cover for the end tank of the intercooler lodged in the throttle body stuck to the butterfly. Thanks guys for your response and help

Holy **** you lucked out there.
That would 100% explain throttle response and the MIL code
