Hi,

I have a FK7 CVT and by random checking I have noticed that this hose (check picture) is damaged. I put my finger in it and I smell gas.
I have no idea when it was damaged. The car is behaving normally, but I think that the fuel consumption is higher than before. I put some duck tape to cover the hole for now.

For what is this hose used?

Looks like the PCV hose, part number 17131-59B-010. Should be less than $10.

Thanks a lot. The part is not the problem. I was only wondering for what is it for and what could happen if it breaks completely.
I will google for PCV now.

The part is the problem because its damaged. The pcv system vents pressure frome the crankcase back into the intake.
