Civic Hatchback 2018 how to unscrew engine filter bolt???

Hey guys!!!!

It's my first time changing engine filter on my own and I have problem unscrewing the bolts on the engine filter. (for Honda Civic Hatchback 2018 10th Gen)

Can someone please give me some recommendation which wrench should I be using to unscrew it, and what size should I get???

I'm going to assume you mean the drain screw. It should be a 17mm, but the one pictured looks more like a 12...

I'd double-check that you ordered the right bolt first, but a wrench or ratchet will do fine.

Quick edit: You do mean oil filter right? I'm pretty sure the air filter only has tabs

For the airbox? Should be 8mm might be 10mm, drain plug for the oil will be 17mm as mentioned

Thats an airbox bolt. its an 8mm, recommend using a wrench & extension so you dont snap them if you got a bunch of force.. they snap stupid easy

Can confirm. They snap stupidly easy. Tried to use one to mount my homebrew SRI, and it snapped like a Slim Jim. I'm convinced that's by design, because of that notch cut out. Likely to keep you from messing up the filter housing by overtightening.
