Gas mileage dropping significantly

For the past 3 months or so, I have noticed that my 2016 Honda EX went from a 30-33mpg down to about 25mpg. I havent had any changes in my driving habits and havent changed where i would fill up my gas. I just had my alignment done and replaced my air filter, also my tire pressures are fine. In addition, my tank fill up used to go up to about 320-330 miles but now it only fills up to about 290-300 miles. I also reset my trip meter to accurately measure my trips and notice i also be losing about 50-60 miles per tank.

Re: Gas mileage dropping significantly

Winter gas, colder temps, and increased idling will all lower fuel mileage

If it's a GDI engine, check the intake valves.

Honestly, I am assuming its temp related. Im in the north of Ontario, and 3 months ago it was -40 and now with humidity its +40.. Winter = Warming car up before driving. Summer = A/C.
Air conditioning is a HUGE economy impact.

Re: Gas mileage dropping significantly

I have an hatchback ex 2021, and gas mileage is too slow to reach the +-30 mpg...I"ve used the same ex hatchback ,2017,for 4 years and the gas mileage went up or down faster, showing results....It's normal? there is the same with the 2020 models?
