Rate the Honda Dealers
thought that we should have a thread that talks about the dealers and whether you'd give them a thumbs up and recommend them, or give them thumbs down and advise to stay away from them...
there should be two parts to the ratings: sales and service.
i'd start:
----------------------
NORTH MARKHAM:
sales: so so...not the best sales guys...they are lazy and they aren't all so helpful. apparently they are willing to deal and will offer discounts if they can
service: heard lots of bad things about north markham service from these posts on 7thgen. was it u oldskool who had a bad encounter with them earlier?
---------------------
RICHMOND HILL:
sales: not so great either
service: last time i went in about my rust problem they told me it wasn't covered under warranty. hey, i did get it fixed under warranty somewhere else.
----------------
ROADSPORT:
sales: heard great things about getting cars priced cheap here... great to bargain with.
---------
READY:
sales: lots of cars in stock. sales man was ok...very honest about what kind of prices we should be expecting to be accepted as an offer and what wouldn't be accepted
---------------
KITCHENER:
this is my personal favourite for sales and service because my parents know the ppl there. so they treat me well..

Roadsport's sale is good in term of price. Their service dept sucks ***
North Markham's sales are crap. The salesman seems like they dont care if they sells any car cuz they know they have enough ppl coming into their dealer so they didnt give any attention to me and my dad when we were there.
Ready Honda's sales was so-so. Their price is the lowest we got in mississauga but still not cheaper than Roadsport.
Mississauga's honda's sales is below average. Their price is the highest in mississauga's honda dealership.
Ideal's honda's sales also so-so. Price not competitive at all and we got the car from roadsport instead. Their service is great.
Oakville honda's salesman are *****. They completely wont come to customer and asked if they need any help. WE have to walk over to the salesman and asked questions....what kinda of service is this?

Sales: people are great, always willing to help
Service: A FRICKEN JOKE!!! no more comments please
Action Honda:
Sales: Top notch...for one time only. I bought my 7th gen from them, they were awesome! Even refered a friend. Went back to do a trade up....FELT LIKE KICKIN MY SALESMANS @$$! Never going back.
Toronto Honda:
Sales: Don't get me started.
Service: Same as above.
Formula Honda:
Sales: Don't really know, but I'm thinking I should have bought my car from them.
Service: Number 1 with a bullet!!!

I got my car from Roadsport Honda...
Sales : Great --Maybe because we knew the dude from previous sales
But they freaking sold me my short shifter installed for $250...
But I was excited to have it so I got them to install it before I picked up the car...

North Markham
Sales: It was decent, salesman tried his best to get us the deal with the sales manager, the deal wasnt great or bad, it was okay. The salesman was great, but its true, they don't really care.
Service: Seems okay, nothing bad has happended yet, just the basic maintenance package, and the SRS issue which they fixed free without a hassle (except re-booking the appointment)
Additional Notes: Former Sales Consultant/Manager is a lying thieving *******. Be aware of what it says on the contract because if it doesn't say Honda, expect aftermarket items. Purchased an alarm upgrade for $300, found out it was one of the worst, Audiovox Pursuit which is absolutely useless. Oh well, teaches a lesson do review your sales invoince with full caution.
Overall: Okay
Richmond Hill markham
Sales: Unknown
Service: Crap, pre delivery of vehicle was not properly examined. The car on delivery had scratches on bumper and mirrors, and elsewhere, rip in sun visor.
Overall: Terrible
----------------------
Will not purchase vehicle from both listed dealers, maybe its Kitchener Honda from now on. (*cough* Annie

Markham Honda
Sales - No clue seems decent ...
Service - Pretty bad, arent very friendly, SLOW, didnt fix the problem about the car shaking when driving through puddles. they claimed there was nothing wrong.
But for now its still at the dealer since Thursday till monday maybe longer for all warranty work
they seem to be trying very hard to fix the problems so i dont hate them as much as before.
Oh ya the PARKING LOT is very very BAD cant even do a 3pt turn thats how packed it is in there.

formula honda really hurt me when i took my car back to them for some paint warranty on the car and when i told them that i bought the car from roadsport honda they told me to go back there and i was a little disappointed in them for doing that. im supposed to take my car to any honda dealership for any warranty work.
RoadSport Honda: I liked the service I got their ( and hopefully will still recieve) I got a good price on my ride so no complaints their. However they are hella expensive on aftermarket stuff. I was their the other day and they were selling a bolt on Ractive Exhaust for like $420 taxes in, I thought that was a bit too much, and not to mention its Ractive, but it did look good must say that
Sisley Honda's service is pretty good, of course it's not a Lexus dealer, but very very friendly reception and etc etc.
I dunno about other Honda dealers, but do they give you free coffee and car wash after an oil change?

Mississauga Honda is pretty good, SLOW service but the waiting room is nice. Free water adn coffe and has a TV, and theres a computer with internet explorer if you disable the Honda car guide program they have running.

Went to Mississauga Honda lookin for a part. The service guy looked at me blankly, turned on his computer monitor, and had ME browse the parts listing for what I wanted. What's so hard about MIRROR GARNISH? What a moron. It's the same idiot there every time I go, so I decided one day "screw it, I'm drivin my azz elsewhere!".

Ideal Honda:
Sales: Their prices are pretty high...
Service: Good.
Parts: Quick and snappy.
Castle Honda:
Sales: Prices are amazing!
Service: Quick and good but it seems like teenagers work in the garage or something.. but they do a good job.
Parts: The person who works the desk doesn't seem that smart. I'd watch out if I were you.. KNOW EXACTLY what part you need or good luck getting the right part.

I thought PARKWAY HONDA was tops 'cause they are so friendly but sometime last year my secondary oxgen sensor was damaged and they wanted to charge me $380 to fix it. I asked if it was covered under warranty the answer was no.
Went to DALTS HONDA for my next oil change and the same story "your secondary oxgen sensor is gone. $400 to fix" and they were rude to boot.
Yesterday I went to CENTRE HONDA for another oil change and and i told them I'm aware my oxygen sensor is busted but i don't want to fix it right now. When I came back to pick up the car the service leader told me that he ordered a sensor for me and they will be calling me to replace mine under warranty!
So basically:
DALTS HONDA - rude, didn't want to do warranty repair
PARKWAY HONDA - super friendly, but also did not want to do warranty repair
CENTRE HONDA - TOPS!!! Warranty repair without asking

I everybody, I am new to the forum. Ill be checking in here weekly.
I bought my Black 2002 SI-G Coupe from Classic Honda in Brampton a little over a month ago. It was a new car, leftover from the previous year. I got it for $19,000 before taxes @ 4.8% Purchase financing. I beat them down from the special sale price of $20,000. I did pretty good I think. If I were to buy that same car last year I probably would have payed 22,500 @ 5.8%. The sales people were nice. My sales guy was a little pushy to make a sale, but generaly nice. One nice thing he did was insisted I took a test drive in a 2003 Si. Alot of dealers ive been to in the past avoid that with a young guy like me.
The financing guy also pulled some strings for me. Honda Financing wanted 5,000 down and a co-signer. I told him its 1,000 down and NO co-signer or no deal. And he got it. I just had to give 5 references (Which they never called). I was totaly happy that I was able to get the car on my terms. I feel like I was in the drivers seat the whole time durring the negotiating process.
The dealer has been great to me so far. They even give me 10% off all goods in their parts department because I bought my car there. They probably do that for everybody though.
I would reccomend this dealer.

Not a Honda dealer, but I just bought my 1.7EL from Acura in Markham and have been dealing with their service dep't prior to my purchase with servicing my old car (1.6 EL). Their sales staff was great, very knowledgable and friendly, and definitely willing to negotiate. Service is also good, never had a problem with them.
