I use Husky Gas....Juss cuz I know the owner....and plus it is always cheaper then all the other stations around it. AND ITS HUGE!!! And plus they change their gas price the mourning of. So when other stations are up 10cents in the evening, Husky stays put until next mourning
I ALWAYS fill up Sunoco....if that's not available, then Petro Canada.....they both have ethanol in their gas, which feels better.
I fill up with 89 octane when I'm feeling generous, 87 usually.
Comparing with filling the higher octanes (91 and 94), they actually make MORE power and are more efficient mileage-wise. I actually measured the mileage with all 4 over a period of 3 months, the 89 had the best mileage, followed by closely 87, then 91 and 94. I think the higher octane was worst because our engines aren't high compression enough to need them, and running the higher octane just makes it burn slower than the lower octanes.
So my rule now is: run the lowest octane gas you can without knocking or your engine retarding ignition etc from knock sensors to get the best mileage and power.

still confused on what to gas up in the family sienna (210hp baybeee! wooot!)... anywayz, the minimum it requires is 87 but in parenthesis "reccomended 91octane and above" what gives? too scared to mess up my mom's 40grand civic killer lolz!
I would still fill up with 94+ regardless! And after many discussions with Honda engineers regarding octane ratings. It's really hard to do a chart based on 3 months, as you grow your driving habbits change, and it depends on where you commute to, and the temperature humidity affects it, so basically it is nearly impossible to calculate a correct mpg per grade of gas.

i fill both cars with CT's gas...
when i occasionally fill at sunoco...i don't feel any difference...is it because i'm using 87 instead of 94? don't see a point in putting 94, especially when new cars will pass emission without a problem these days.

i have to say, canadian tire gas suxs ***!! you DO feel a difference. i used to drive a van and when i gased up at canaidan tire it is different from sunoco gas....
crappy tire gas: when you floor the car from a complete stop, there's that feeling of resistance before it starts picking up good speed. as well, you feel a power loss.
but when i used sunoco you feel the power and the car doesnt feel as sluggish as Crappy tire gas... and i think sunoco is the best gas out there.
i'm not sure if we can feel the differnece with our civics....cuz afterall, it is a little 4 cl car. but you can always try it.... just make sure ur gas tank is empty before you full up to test it.

Sunoco Ultra 94 Fuel is one of the best, maybe the best gas at a local pump. The high octane fuel provides no predetonation, once it ignites, it will be really good as it cleans the fuel system. How much do you save on a civic, $1-2? Stop the purchase of a coffee and there.

Ultra 94 also contains 10% ethanol no? I also remember another substance that many other gas stations have, and that Sunoco contains none or the least while Petrol Canada contained the most. Eitherway buy gas where it gets new supply very frequently.
Edit: MMT is the substance I was talking about, its very bad for engines to.
E-Mail every brands of fuel and ask weather they contain MMT in their grades of gasoline.

We give customers a choice. We offer ethanolized Ultra 94, which contains no MMT, and Regular or premium gasoline, which meet all regulations for MMT.
In Regular gasoline, we use MMT at half the legal limit; the legal limit is 18 mg/litre.

guys, just to let you know... u CAN feel a difference in the sunoco gas and canadian tire.
i guess i'm so used to sunoco gas taht when my dumb *** sister went and gased up at canadian tire last night, i felt a DRAMATIC loss of power. so, i guess you CAN feel the difference with our 4 cln cars.

To me, gas is gas. If it makes my civic go, then it's good.
It's funny how people here are saying that they only go to ESSO or SUNOCO. You're all talking about emissions, and waste products, additives, etc. I think everyone should buy gas from Petro Canada because it is a CANADIAN COMPANY, and the money goes into the Canadian economy. Sheesh...

If gas is gas than water is water and oil is oil. Fuel is altered as each company refines it in different methods. As for the comment insisting to goto Petrol Canada, why? So that I can spend money on damaging the vehicle by putting outrageously large amount of MMT and etc... Sunoco has ethanol, which is clean, and Ultra 94 has no MMT! Gas companies should hire researchers to discover if a higher octane fuel is more beneficial than to what suggested.
