HELP!!! My deck keeps turning off!

I have this weird problem that I just recently found out.

I hardly ever use my power windows, but the other night while cruising with some of the boys on this site, I noticed that when I would press either of the buttons to roll down my power windows, the deck would turn off then turn back on again?! It's so weird!!! And it doesn't happen all the time either! But that night and last night were the worse! It would die even when the car is running! Usually it just happens while I'm idling. I know the power windows take up a lot of juice, but I don't understand how that would keep making the deck turn off! At one point last night, I even hit the sunroof button and the deck would die and turn back on while I was idling, then I'd hit the power windows again, and the deck would die, but wouldn't turn back on. It'd turn on only when I give it some gas! I gotta get this checked out soon... cuz it's tripping me out!

Does anyone know what the problem could be? I'm trying to back track on the last recent installs that were done to the car that has to do with some kind of electrical work.

The last most recent installs that have to do with some kind of electrical wiring are as follows...

Deck
Components
6x9's
Pager Alarm

I'm taking it to the audio installers sometime this week to have them re-check all the wirings to the deck and speakers. I just wanted to post and maybe get some feedback as to what the problem might be.

Thanks in advance for any help.

take it to your local stereo shop and ask them where you should be drawing power from for your system. maybe you need a capacitor, but I doubt it.

ya, sounds like they have the power hooked up wrong..
i'd get it redone leaving the yellow switched but run the red (fused) right to the battery..

I can check it out for you later tonight if you want to stop by the Best Western on why 7 and Leslie in Richmond hill.. it sounds like you have either corroded grounds, or a bad battery.

ROFL!!!
That would definitely trip me out too... after some wacky tabacky, I'd FLIP!!!!

I have the same problem, well kinda! The deck works fine but once in a while the screen would turn off and when that happens I can't adjust the volume, skip to next song, etc... except when I use the remote and it works fine.
workaround for me is to detach the face and reattach and it works fine. I noticed that this would happen when I drive over some bumpy roads or when I cruise along Scarborough! haha j/k

Maybe it's time for a DVD player???!

Thank mohawk!!! Lemme give that a shot. I tried the old SNES cleaning (blowing hard into the contact) but it still happened. Maybe alcohol will do the trick. I'll let you know.

Thanks for the feedback, but I'm gonna take the deck out and drive it to the Panasonic dealership in my area and claim warranty on it.
