Angry Nabbed by cops.. again!

I need to carry me a box of Krispy Kremes in my car man... I got caught speeding again!

See now, I never ever speed usually. No fawkin way. But on the way home from Scarborough tonight, I had to take a major dump. I mean MAJOR. I had to get off, so I took an exit off Hurrontario.

By this time, I was hurtin pretty bad, so I was rushing towards the nearest gas station. But guess what. An undercover piggie was playing laser tag.. faaaaawk. He let me go to the washroom at least though, but I had to give up my driver's license first. But when I got out, the bastard gave me a ticket!! Aaargh...

83km/h on 60.

But I already got a court date for my previous ticket in July.

What should I do? Should I goto the court for this one? Or plead guilty with a very desperate explaination? The cop himself suggested that I goto the court.

What's your thoughts?

Plead guilty with an explaination or you can fight it and hope that the cop doesn't show up.
In this case, you were speeding and it's legit.

Yeah this excuse works ... but you need to act like you really need to go to washroom !!
I got pulled over once near my home for rolling stop a stop sign ... the cop pulled me over ... had a talk ...
I was being very polite and he let me go

I say plead guilty with an explanation. It never hurts to try: a) You get 6 months to save up money incase you need it, and b) most cases get reduced

I got mine reduced from 120 in an 80 to 105 in an 80 (saved me $150)

I want one too... but don't they have a counter-detector? Like a detector for radar detectors??
(if you don't understand, don't feel bad. Cause I don't understand what I just typed)

Always go to court to fight it.
Try to get it extended at least two times. Each time the cop is ther he is not getting paid.

If he doesn't show up, the case gets thrown out the court.

As long as you did not admit that you were speeding you should be o.k.
Ignorance at the time of the ticket is your best weapon.

If you are found guilty ask the judge if you can go to traffic school.

If you can, take traffic schol online. It's only 15 bucks and takes about 40 minutes.

I went to court yesterday for my speeding ticket. 70mph in a 50mph. And i'm 16. I plead guilty and gave him how im a kid speech *honor roll, part time job and then my mom played the single mother speech* and he lowered the fine from $96 to $77 *including court fees :-( *. He told me he didnt have the ability to lower my points or how much i was speeding because that is done by the state and not the court.

Go to court.. and hopefully if he shows up talk to him... and say "remember me? the guy who almost capped in his pant and speeding".... maybe he'll help you out by getting the prosecuter to drop the charge or maybe lowere it to somehtting minor

the cop issues the tickets. but the court prosecutor is the one who decided on your fate

Yes, the cops have a special radar detector (named the VG-2) that detects people using a radar detector. (hope that makes sense). If you are looking to get a radar detector, makes sure it is immune to the VG-2. Lower end detectors might not have this feature, but the higher end models have it. It detects when a VG2 detector is in use and can not be detected by the cops. Most detectors need to be mouned on your windsheild, which cops could see if they were looking there, but most can be mounted on your dash, which is easier to hide.

I know some stuff about this because I am looking to buy a dectector. If anyone has one or knows anything about them (suggestions on what brand, etc) let us know!

Thats accurate. The points system is set up by the Ministry, not any judicial body. Points only start at 16 km over. If you get a 15 km over ticket, it'll cost $52.50 total payable, but NO POINTS.

My advise to you is to take it to trial. If the officer does NOT appear, you tell the prosecutor that you are prepared to proceed. And do not accept terms for an adjournment if the officer did'nt show, say you come from a distance and have employment commitments or something.

If the officer does show up, speak with the prosecutor and see if she can get it reduced to 15 km over.

Good luck.

if the ticket is reduced from 30km over the limit to like 20 over the limit.
it'll be from 3 to 2 points.

or was it 4 to 3 points>? one or the other...
