HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!TRIM PAINTING!!!!!!!!

i want to paint my trims.
what kind of sand paper do i need to sand them surface with and do you have to prim it???

you'd have to sand with a 400 or even 600 grit paper very very litely, use a primer designed to bond onto eurothane and have fun.

which is better 400 or 600 and what kinda primer do i get.

400 will do... and then i picked up non-metal primer from canadian tire...

it worked perfectly... just put a few coats on before you paint

thanks... yah i was tryin to find reverse gauges in km/h but got fed up and bought the mp/h

but it doesn't bother me at all...

good luck going to sars mall.. i've needed to go there to pick up a bunch of lights, but too scared to take the risk

the sandpaper depends on if you want to keep the plastic panels grain or smooth it out flat.. if you wanna keep the grain just sand it lightly with the 400 grit.

If you want to smooth it out you gotta go 80grit, 120 grit 200 grit then 600 grit

Hey smoked, whats up? Listen I caught your thread just in time. Man why didn't you mention it on Friday. I have done quite a few of these and I can offer some suggestions, plus if you want I can offer you the use of my paint booth, guns and airbrushes. Plus I have some great plasic prep and I don't suggest you sand your interior. PM Me
