add on front/rear lips and sideskirts are ridiculously easy to steal off a car. in most cases all you have to do is unscrew 4 or 5 screws and boom, off it comes. it took me less than 5 minutes to take the front lip off my cousins 2k2 coupe, i timed it myself, just to see how long it would take for a would be thief. i want to know if there is a way to put them on so it's impossible or extremely difficult to take off. a friend of mine that owns a veloz had the entire skirt package stolen off his car one evening when he parked it outside a movie theatre.

Rep Power: 0 how much to mold the kit on?
does it require a full body paint job?
does it really matter to make custom drills, because they'll just find the extra drilled holes and take what they want???

No, if you hide those extra screws then it's pretty safe.
My suggestion is to put either cement glue on the head of each screws so they can't even unscrew them. Or you can put silicone, much like the one for your headlights.... so you can patch up the part where you insert the screw driver. Na'mean?

yes it does... instead of them taking 5 minutes, it'll take them 6 minutes with extra screws. J/K

Rep Power: 357 What do you hate the most when you reach your hands under a table or a char? An old gum! Drill the hole and use all the different sizes and shapes of the screws you can find. I.e., phlips screw, robertson screw and flat screw with different sizes. After all that, stick some gum on top of the screw so if one tries to reach it, guess what they'll touch and think...

Rep Power: 0 Gum? Gum turns hard after awhile.... not really useful.
I'm thinking instead of using the usual screws, install some bolts with NUTS on the inside of the lip. It'll be one helluva fun time trying to unbolt the lip, when you want to or for a thief... To make it even more fun, add multiple bolts... i.e. a 2 inch bolt, with like 5 nuts
Or, silicon with that as well would be a good idea...
Molding on a lip is a good idea, but it's alot of dough just to consider it as a theft deterrant. Molding on a lip requires at least bondo, sanding, and a paint job...... That's alot of money.

Rep Power: 0 if ppl think there are four or five screws.. they'll eventually try and rip it off... not knowing there's another hidden screw, so one way or another... if you have that hidden screw or not... that lip kit will be stolen and damaged.
but i guess damaged is better then stolen O_O

Rep Power: 0 Yeah I would recommend putting clear silicone to your body kit as well. I have it on mine, it may prevent the thief an extra minute or two but also adds extra stabiliity and strength to the kit from coming off. Highly recommended.
