YEAH RIGHT! BULLSHIT!
Just like the "2005 CRX" that was posted here a while back...that car was a "91 CRX with a crazy bodykit. It's NOT the 2005 CRX which I later found out looks nothing like that car I saw in the pic. and to think that I was actually going to save up for that car.
Domestic Type-R Civic in North America I think not! I'll only believe it when I'm actually driving the car.

If I'm going to import it's going to be a Skyline R-34.
Rep Power: 0 I personally believe CTR will be imported to North America.
I remember back in the days, people have said ITR was going to be Japan-only. They recently said the same about WRX, and Evo. But they are here.
But most importantly, I think Honda *NEEDS* the CTR. Honda has built its dynasty through two solid concepts--sporty cars, that are rock solid reliable. Recently, that sporty spotlight has shifted towards Nissan, Mazda, Subaru and Mitsubishi.
It's true arch rivals copy each other, and this is true for Honda, as they have become more and more bland like Toyotas (and vice versa, Toyota has been coming out with sportier cars).
The current SiR, was a HUGE flop. There is absolutely no street respect, and none whatsoever from the media. It represents horrible value and the sales are at an all time low (they are all still sitting in the lots). Competition, on the other hand, has stepped up to the plate. Just to name a few: recent importation of Impreza WRX and Lancer EvoVIII, Mazdaspeed Protege, Sentra SE-R SpecV, Matrix XRS, Focus SVT and Neon SRT-4.
Nobody is talking about SiR. Only how ugly they think it looks. In fact, ethusists are no longer shopping for Civics for their next cars.
That's why Honda NEEDS, and I think, will have the CTR over here. It's the savior.

Rep Power: 0 ctr will not be imported, although we talk and talk, but not many ppl gonna spend 34k+ on a civic, and for sure they gonna lose even more money on the SiR if CTR come cuz no one will buy SiR at all, and they arent bring ITR in either cuz rsx S is such a good seller

Rep Power: 0 hm, unlike SiR, CTR's audience are those who seek performance and attracted to the type R badge.. CTR spanks WRX, not many cars can match it dollar for dollar, but I dont see Honda potentially sacrificing RSX type S's sales just to steer the civic HB from becoming a total automotive failure in america.... for once honda was beaten in its own game, not by just one or two manufacturers, but basically everyone else playing in that particular [18-25] market... CTR will certainly enhance the image and allure of Honda, and really, in today's game, image is everything... so most likely Honda will BRING CTR, but in very limited numbers as to protect cousin RSX's market share...
