the V205 is about 1000 canadian cuz it jsut came out not too long ago and has the same feature as the panasonic GD87 - built in camera
so i suggest u tell your friends to wait for it at least 1 or 2 months when the price started to drop

thats not so bad
i got my Samsung S105 for under $500 cdn and it is almost the same as the V205 except missing the internal camera
so i never suggest your friend to buy it now since it just came out. i bought my S105 7 months after it came out.

u can tell your friend buy one from asia cuz it is much cheaper than north america
and all phones in asia are unlocked and wap unlocked as well
whereas the wap and the phone is usually locked if being purchase in north america
